2017 Healthcare Open Enrollment

Abbott Health Investment Plan Enrollment

If you already have an open ALEC Health Savings Account established, and made contributions within the last year, you will need to elect your 2017 Pre-Tax Contribution through your employer's benefits web site.  Your 2016 contribution will not be automatically renewed. The Abbott Human Resources team will provide you with all the information regarding online enrollment.

If you are electing the 2016 Health Investment Plan for the first time and are looking to open a new Health Savings Account or did not make contributions to your ALEC HSA within the last year, you will be prompted to select another HSA provider during open enrollment.

AbbVie HDHP Enrollment – If you are electing a High Deductible Health Plan for 2017, visit the ALEC HSA Center to learn more or to open your ALEC Health Savings Account. To establish your pre-tax payroll contribution, click here for your 2017 Pre-Tax AbbVie Payroll Deduction Form. Once completed, return your AbbVie ALEC HSA CenterPre-Tax Payroll Contribution form to an ALEC Service Center. You can also fax your request to 847.360.0314. ALEC will then submit the form to your payroll department on your behalf.

Please note if you contributed to an HSA in 2016, you will need to re-enroll for 2017. It will not be automatically renewed. Please complete a 2017 Pre-Tax AbbVie Payroll Deduction Form.

ALEC Membership: If you are not a current ALEC member at time of Open Enrollment, please

visit alecu.org and click on Join to complete a new membership application. You will be contact by a Member Service Representative to complete the funding of your new account. If you have any questions about the online member application, please contact ALEC at 847.249.9484. ALEC membership is required to open an ALEC HSA.

*ALEC will implement a $5 monthly HSA maintenance fee. This fee can be waived by maintaining an ALEC checking account with $500 in direct deposit per month or an active ALEC credit card or ALEC loan.
